Tuesdays: Alternating Symphonic Band/Wind Ensemble
Thursdays: Jazz Band
Times
Concert Ensembles: 3:30pm - 6:00pm
Jazz Band: 3:30pm - 5:30pm
While students are dismissed by the posted times, they are expected to help with teardown and cleanup before leaving

NMHS Band Room
Please note: to maintain school safety and security, rehearsals are closed to visitors. Parents/family/friends must wait in the parking lot for students to be dismissed.
Details
All members of the Concert Bands and Jazz Band are expected to attend each scheduled rehearsal, throughout the year. At these rehearsals, students review musical fundamentals, and refine their skills for on-campus concerts and other off-campus events. Due to the nature of this team activity, 100% attendance is required by all members, barring extenuating circumstances.
Requirements and Policies
Please review the Band Handbook for specific rehearsal procedures and expectations. Important reminders are below:

Students must be in the designated warm-up location by 3:30pm. Location & musical repertoire will be posted on the display board in the band room after school. If you are unsure, ask your captains and drum majors for details.

Students are required to have the following items at every rehearsal, without exception:

Working instrument and supplies (reeds, valve oil, etc.)

All concert music in an organized folder

A pencil
-
A charged cell phone (for tuning)

A willingness to Inspire Superior Performance each day!

Attendance Policy Reminder: if students are absent from an excessive number of rehearsals, or are otherwise unprepared to perform, they may not be allowed to perform for a given concert cycle.
